Setting up Xero

Getting your Xero account integrated with Meth Manager is a simple 4 step process.

  1. Go to your Settings page in Meth Manager

  2. Click Connect to Xero and enter your login details

  3. Click ‘Set up Account’ and Select ‘Import Inventory’, this will input set inventory codes into your Xero account that align with each product you sell.

  4. Assign the Inventory items to the preferred account in your Chart of Accounts, this will ensure the invoices show against this account in your Profit & Loss.

Using Xero + Meth Manager together

Once a job is at invoice stage, it will appear in your ‘Invoices to ‘Generate list’.

Go to the Invoices tab to view these, make any final changes to the amount charged and then click ‘Generate’. Your invoice will automatically be sent to professional clients via Xero.

Each time you reconcile a payment within Xero, Meth Manager will automatically change the status of the job to Paid.

What does the integration connect with?

Initially the integration will connect to your Chart of Accounts and direct you to import a new list of inventory items. Once set up is complete it will connect your customers, invoices and reconciliations of invoice payments

Why can’t I see my entire Chart of Accounts when I’m matching the inventory items?

The inventory items are set to be reconciled against either a Sales or Revenue account, you will see all of these when you go into the account set up. If you want to add a different code to reconcile against, go into your Chart of Accounts within Xero and add a new code under Sales or Revenue. You can then return to your Meth Manager set up and the new code you’ve set up will be available for you to match against your inventory code.

How do I disconnect from Xero?

Under the Settings tab of Meth Manager, you’ll see your status under the Xero section as either ‘Connected’ or ‘Disconnected’. If you want to disconnect, simply click ‘Disconnect from Xero’.

What doesn’t your integration do?

This integration does not connect with Payroll, Bills Payable, Quotes or Tax payments.

When and how does data sync occur? Is it manual, automatic, on login, in real-time. Are there any settings related to synchronizing?

The data sync will occur in real-time, as long as you are connected to Xero
